Payment & Refund Policy

Effective date: September 2026

Purpose

This policy covers payments, cancellations, credits, refunds, course withdrawal, failed payments, and payment disputes for driving-school services provided by Central Driving School Ltd.

Fees Payments Cancellations Refunds Disputes Contact

Fees & Invoices

Students should verify their details, course or service, amount payable, payments already made, outstanding balance, and invoice reference.

If any information appears incorrect, the student should contact the Central Driving School office before making a further payment.

Payment Methods

Only authorised Central Driving School payment methods should be used. Students should retain receipts, payment confirmations, invoice numbers, and transaction references.

Part Payments

Where instalments or part payments are allowed, the remaining balance remains payable according to the agreed arrangement. Part payment does not automatically waive the remaining course fee.

Duplicate or Excess Payments

If a student accidentally makes a duplicate or excess payment, they should contact the Central Driving School office with proof. Once verified, the excess may be refunded or applied as credit, as agreed with the student and subject to applicable rights.

24-Hour Cancellation Rule

Students should give at least 24 hours' notice when they cannot attend a scheduled lesson.

Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, the lesson may be rescheduled subject to instructor and vehicle availability.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the lesson may be treated as missed and may not automatically qualify for a replacement lesson, credit, or refund. Genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by the Central Driving School office.

Missed Lessons

A student who fails to attend a confirmed lesson without 24 hours' notice may have the lesson recorded as missed. Missed lessons ordinarily do not qualify for an automatic refund or replacement lesson. Exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by the Central Driving School office.

Cancellation by Central Driving School

If Central Driving School cancels a lesson, the student should normally be offered a replacement lesson at no additional charge.

If Central Driving School is unable to provide the paid service within a reasonable period, the student may consult the office regarding rescheduling, credit, or a refund where appropriate.

Refund Requests

Refunds are not automatic. Refund requests are considered case-by-case.

A student requesting a refund should have a genuine and reasonable reason and must first consult the Central Driving School office.

The office may consider the reason for the request, lessons already delivered, services already provided, payments already applied, costs reasonably incurred, whether Central Driving School failed to provide an agreed service, and genuine emergency or exceptional circumstances. Central Driving School may request supporting evidence where reasonably necessary.

Where a refund is approved, the Central Driving School office will inform the student of the approved amount, refund method, and expected processing period.

How to Request a Refund

The request should include the student's full name, invoice or reference number, payment date, amount, payment method, reason, and supporting payment evidence where available.

Requests may be sent to centraldrivingltd@gmail.com or made through the Central Driving School office.

Course Withdrawal

Withdrawal does not automatically entitle a student to a full refund. Any refund or credit will be considered individually after considering lessons completed, services provided, outstanding amounts, the reason for withdrawal, and applicable consumer rights.

Students facing exceptional circumstances are encouraged to contact the office.

Failed or Reversed Payments

An initiated transaction does not necessarily mean cleared funds were received. If a payment fails, reverses, or is rejected, the balance may remain outstanding.

Payment Disputes

Students should first contact Central Driving School and are encouraged to provide the invoice, receipt, transaction reference, and proof of payment.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove a consumer remedy or right that applies under Zambian law.
